Welcome to this RPG forum based mainly in the period of Greek history lasting from the Greek Dark Ages ca. 1100 BC and the Dorian invasion, to 146 BC and the Roman conquest of Greece after the battle of Corinth. It is generally considered to be the seminal culture which provided the foundation of Western civilization. Greek culture had a powerful influence on the Roman Empire, which carried a version of it to many parts of Europe. The civilization of the ancient Greeks has been immensely influential on the language, politics, educational systems, philosophy, science, and arts, giving rise to the Renaissance in Western Europe and again resurgent during various neo-Classical revivals in 18th and 19th century Europe and the Americas. The time for the Greek Myths to come alive!”

1.- Respect the plot

By this it means since we have a story that details all that has been happening you must all read it and keep that in mind, it is important because if you make out anything that doesn't add up well it will be considered as if the rules were broken. when the forum is updated, every three or six moths a plot will be displayed for all of you to read, that means you must and will keep to it, no way you are going to do whatever you want with it, respect the plot, it means RESPECT IT.

2.- About the Role play-(rated PG13)

-It is important that you know that your character is not all mighty, there is something called vulnerabilities, even Zeus has them so please do not make your character untouchable since there is no such thing. Gmoding as you all know is not permitted, it is PROHIBITED.

- If your character dies you may not arise. Unless you have specified clearly on the first post after returning to life.

-You may not kill a member unless he or she approves it.

3-About OCC:
Try to use it the least possible and in posting it would be better to pm someone if you need to sort things out. Posts are better when can be read without 300 posts of only OCC. Leave those posts for the random section. For they will be deleted in RPG posts.

-Be Realistic: it would be good if you put much more descriptions to the things you do and all with true 'realism'.

-The length of the post: You most, at LEAST write eight lines, there is no point on RPG then if you write one line. It is absurd to read things like:

“Enters the pub, looks around, sits all alone and drinks butter beer.” Or “No”, he said.

There is no big thing about that, this will be considered as Spam too which means another violation of the site rules. Description is something that never gets old you know, it is highly better and indicates that you know how to use your imagination, not all of us are born to write and those who consider themselves to be then show it, it is not for us but for your own self. There is something called 'improvement' and that is gained with daily effort. If any of you make one line posts you'll be warned to mod them via pm and if not the post will be deleted for everyone’s sake.

- if any member may not be active for exams or any personal matters, pm the admin and in the name of your character put ‘busy’ or ‘in exams’. Or that memeber will be deleted.

4.-Affiliates:
If you want to affiliate there is a place to do it, not EVERYWHERE, that is Spam! and if you joined the site to advertise your account will be deleted. Do NOT pm any member sending them the link to your site and do not use the say box to do so either, those things are deleted and so the person that does that can even get banned from the forum.

5.- Signatures:
The signatures most have a normal length, since there are no limits described please use common sense, it is very annoying to see in a post nothing but the signature, also some peoples pc are already slow to add another extra problem, if I see them too big you will be warned to shrink the size. Ask the admin for a banner if you can't make your own, so far if you like making them for yourself, the banners must not be more than 500 of width and 250 of height. The avatars can not be bigger than 100 * 100.

6.-Characters:
Limit yourself on the amount of characters that you choose to have, if you think that you can handle seven characters then so be it but with one condition, to have them all active because if you don't do so the characters you stop posting with will be deleted.
Same goes to inactive members that haven't post over decades, they will be deleted unless they send the admin or moderators a pm with the reasons of their departure.

Also about canon characters, if you wish to be one you must pm the admins about it and if we allow you then go ahead, the same goes if you wish to use the name or related to any of the main characters, you must ask for permition.

If you wish to make a canon character stick to what that character did according to the author's story and also to our plot descriptions. That means that if you are making Percy, Hermione... make them like they are supposed to be and not how you want, that is what non canon characters are for..

Important: If you choose to be a deit or demi-deity... know that demi-gods live a life in the mortal world and are not as equivalent as gods, with some exceptioans (like Herakles but after he was divinized being burned). All deities have weaknesses and none can control FATE, it is in Greek conception that the gods cannot interfere sometimes, I have reference to this in the Iliad, even... We only accept Greek deities at the moment!

7.-Respect other members:
Do not insult other members and don't pretend to be a member that you are not, do not misuse that person's character just to keep up with your plan or whatever. If someone has an image on their banner about some actor don't use the same image, it is very silly for a person to have an image and then another to have the same since the images we show are supposed to be the physical descriptions of the characters we make, unless those characters are twins.

8.- Language:
Be logical, this is supposed to be Ancient Greece, dont use words like 'wanna', 'gonna', 'cause', 'aint', it's not like we are doing a rap song nor story. the ´f´word is not allowed either unless you are in the random section. Stick to your character's age and maturity, you will not write using the same language with a kid than with a grown up, adapt it! Check your spelling too, that's the reason why we have a spell check, not because of decoration. And if your character is very angry make up curses like "What in the name of '' use things like that, only when the circumstances make it that a character shows strong emotions.

9.- Respect the time line:
There are no UFO'S, etc..stick to pubs, taverns, swords, charriots...

10.- Homosexuality and bisexuality is permitted when you have at least 90 posts, are mature enough and made another character for that.

11.- About “sex” I think that posts should be metaphoric or mainly feeling but not OBSCENE. And also you may not under any circumstances describe physically what you do nor what the other character does. N-O Means “no”. It is more tasty with descriptions that stick to what is ordered rather than being disgusting. No porn!!

12.- Everyone must have a Bio and must post before getting sorted in 'The grand entrance', once accepted by an admin you can begin posting. The templace is in the Character Applications' board.

13.- Not rule but should be Another thing I noticed is that some people just don't post in large threads either because they are lazy to read them or lazy to reply with the same amount. This is no rule but please do try to post in some of those since those posts are the ones that really helps us imporve.

The rules code will be updated in the rules thread, for now it is “Troy”, it is just to make sure you have read the rules before joining.

Important!
All the memebers and their stories(bios, posts, images) can't be stolen! it is not allowed here and also proboards penalizes that! If you like a character then pm him/her and if she/he approves for you to use then go ahead but if not DONT. There is a reason why PRIVATE POLICY exists!
